形態特徵

• Evergreen shrubs or small trees, up to 4 m tall; branchlets puberulous.
• Leaves subcoriaceous, elliptic to suborbicular, 1.1–1.9 cm long, 0.6–1.2 cm wide, acute to mucronate at apex, acute to rounded at base, glabrate when young, entire, dark green and shining above, pale beneath.
• Flowers 4- or 5-merous, axillary, solitary; calyx tube deeply 4 or 5-lobed, lobes triangular-lanceolate, ca. 1.6 mm long, 10 mm broad; corolla urceolate, ca. 2 mm long; stamens 14–16, filaments and anthers glabrous.
• Fruit ovate, ca. 1 cm long, glabrous, with persistent calyx, black.

分布

• 台灣 : at low elevations near Fengchang, southern Taiwan.
• 世界 : Kwangtung, mainland China.
